Default Heater blowing cold air?

Been doin it for a while now

Have no idea what it is

ive searched said something about a thermastat staying open?

Yeah, probably not.

With the car at normal operating temperature feel your upper and lower radiator hoses, if they are luke warm at best, you've got yourself a bad thermostat.

if the hoses are hot (you can't keep your hand on them) then try backflushing the heater core with a garden hose.

my car gets warm i mean i see the temperature go up but as i drive it will go up and down depending on if im sitting still or cruising or on the freeway

and yes i felt my radiator hoses they are warm at best

If you go down a hill for about a quarter mile with 5th gear holding your speed does your water temp drop?

Thats how i found out mine was open when i saw it drop to the bottom line. Dosent help when you have bad heat with no interior either

Thinking bad thermostat. Could be heater control valve is faulty. Mine went out in my 93, easy fix.

when im cruising it will go down but when im sitting still the temp goes back up

where is the core located?

Did at any point did you take your center console off and where the cd player is i had to take mine of and the plastic peice broke i had to pull on the cable to turn the switch over to hot . Just a suggestion if youve take then off recented and forgot to take the ac peice off.

i did a integra dash conversion

tell you the truth dono if my car has been blowing cold since then i did it during the summer time ....welll fall but i had no reason to use the heater til now

i will check my cable though

under drivers side two pieces big black things (no homo)
remove glove box
6-7ish 10mm bolts
unplug connectors whatever its simple

Before you go hunting through your car for parts that may or may not be broken, make sure your coolant is full and doesn't have bubbles in it. The number one reason your heater would be blowing cold air is if there was a massive air bubble in the core or if there was no coolant. It's happened to cars I've worked on multiple times.

Check simple first.

yea your heater's probably not plugged in or the wire to the switch is messed up

UPDATE

i bought a new thermastat

took off the housing to find out i didnt even have a thermastat at all!

replaced it of course

filled my car up with coolant
checked my heater fuse its not blown but the connector thingy in the middle looks green and not bronze?

car warms up faster but still blows cold air

anything else it could be?

the air is warm at best with it on full blast and with it being recirculated

I had something similar, check the thermo valve wire from the temp control switch to the valve under the hood on the passenger side. If it had come off on one end it could be stuck cold (not letting warm coolant to the heater core). You can manually open the valve for a quick fix until you reconnect the wire.
