Make sure the connections to your battery are firm, and secure. Also make sure the alternator belt is tight onto the alternator.

Sweet so I'm not the only one with this problem....It doesn't do it all the time does it? Sometimes it will and sometimes it won't....I figured that the only reason that mine did it was cuz I have a non-honda alternator on my car and that my electrical system doesn't like that alternator....I wish I could figure out what it is that makes mine do it too....mine has been doin' it for a while now and I have a '99 EX Coupe.....

I used to have a 97 EX and the head lights did the same thing so I went to Honda and asked them about it. There happened to be a technical service bulletin out on that particular year for a faulty altenator and it was replaced with no questions asked and I was at least the second owner of the car. Ask Honda.

My old 97 ex did this. I took it to honda and they replaced the voltage regulator and alternator under warranty.
