Headers / Cat-back / test pipe -- I Need some help!
I'm new to the header / test pipe thing.
On my 98 LX I slapped a custom cat-back on and was happy (for a little while).
Now I have the EG and going for performance.
I will be dropping a GSR motor in her shortly.
I would like to upgrade the headers and get a cat-back.
I've read up on a few posts and have some Q's:
I have been wondering how you connect header X with cat-back Y and it seems like a test pipe / cat. may be the answer.
I am looking for something that is good quality but not to heavy on the pocket: $250 for the headers and no more than $500 for the cat-back.
When buying headers and a cat-back do you have to mix and match certain ones?
Obviously the test pipe or a cat. will connect the two, but HOW? Are the test pipes made especially for that header / cat-back combo? Will all the 92-95 headers / cat-backs have the same joining connectors therefore one test pipe or cat. converter works for all of them?
I need to figure out what exhaust / header set-up I will be going with and need these questions cleared before I go any further.
Thanks a lot!

for $250 your going to be getting a POS header..id go with a JDM 4-1 header $350 and it depends on what kinda exhaust you want..loud quiet etc..

I am looking for an exhaust that is decently loud, but not that loud that can be heard from 2 miles down the road..... and that won't attract every damn cop at the dunkin doughnut shop when I go racing by
