Header question
Anyone know the length of aftermarket cat I'll need for a '97 Civic DX once I install headers? I'm thinking either Megan Racing or DC Sports, both stainless and two piece.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Why put a Cat on when you will be running an illegal header anyways?
They don't make a smog legal header for that model. Only the EX and Si have them. It will work though, and you won't need a Cat to install it.

Re: Header question (Budget Racer)
I'm not in Cali, so I don't need to worry about any CARB stuff. I don't even need to do e-tests where I live. It's pretty sweet.
Anyways, I still need a cat to be legal, so I'm just wondering what the length of the cat is between the header and the exhaust, if it's even needed.
*EDIT* Wait... never mind. Another post came in while I was typing. So I take it that the headers bolt right up to the cat back exhaust? Mine would be a WS2.

Re: Header question (ekpunker)
Yes you can definately bolt the header up without adding a Cat, I've done it. It will be way louder though. All Honda civic models with a D16y7 (CX,DX, and maybe LX not sure 97-00) , have the Cat on the exhaust manifold. You could by a stock Civic Ex Cat though and have it welded after the Cat.
