Default header

i have a 98 ex coupe and im trying to take the heat sheild off... how does the o2 sensor come out of the header?

17mm I believe. Lube it first, it will be tough to lossen. You might want to Lube the o2 sensor was well...

mine was a 20 or 21... and normal wrenches/sockets don't really fit... you should use an "o2wrech" they're designed thinner on the end that's closest to the manifold... for clearance.

do it the easy way and leave it attached at the header, but unplug it from its "socket" by the block.

Kinda hard to explain, dont take out the sensor, but unplug it on the other end, and push the wire through the hole.

Thats how I did mine, took 5 minutes.

go to your local auto store.. find an O2 sensor socket. it has a cut/opening to clear your wire coming out of the sensor. slap it on a rachet, get a bar on there for more torque and muscle it off.

Yeah, It's either 17mm or 22mm...
