Head Removal without worrying of timing belt
I want to take off the head of my d16y8 to replace the seals and everything. Question is that can I just simply mark the teeth of the timing belt with the teeth on the cam, slide the belt off than proceed to take the head off. Then when I'm all done, I'll just put the head back on proceed to slide the timing belt back on making sure it lines up with the marks that I made on the cam and everything should be okay? I'm basically trying to avoid taking more time trying to put the timing belt back on since I'm going to attempt this in a very little time span that I'll have.

I wouldn't try "sliding it" on and off. Loosen the tensioner to remove it, and then reinstall and tension it correctly.

You wouldn't be able to take it off without loosening the timing belt anyways. The dowels in the head will force the head to lift straight off, while a tensioned timing belt won't allow that. You'd probably damage the head if you even tried.
Do it right. It takes only a few minutes to set the crank/cams and to tension the timing belt.

So I guess if I want to do i the right way, I would have to loosen tension in the tensioner, slide the belt off, pull the head off, then when done, put the head back on, make the sure the crank and cam are in tdc positions, than just tighten it back up and I shouldn't have to worry about anything else and she should run good? I'm kinda new at this and really want to learn here.
