Head bolts
I have a question. It's pretty stupid but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
I started disassembling the motor down to the head bolts, and this is sort of where I stopped. I messed up the loosening sequence, I went 1-2-5-3, but that's just all the bolts that just cracked, so 1 turn?
I'm just wondering if I should re tighten then loosen? Or maybe I'm still good to go?
Reason I haven't attempted to just pull it off yet is because I want to use a 1/2 socket this time. Well and I'm scarred if it's not in sequence I'll round the bolts.
So would you retighten, or just proceed to unbolt and follow sequence as close as possible?

I used a 1/2" socket on mine.
I could be wrong, but it SOUNDS LIKE your variance is minor enough that you should be ok..
You were supposed to loosen in REVERSE sequence of the tightening, or, starting from outside rectangle corners, crossing diagonal, then coming in, if I recall correctly.
And my head job IS NOT a model to be followed but, I do remember this.

Re: Head bolts
Follow NARC's advice and if you do end up with a stripped bolt hole in the block you can Heli-Coil or Time-Sert repair it. Heli-Coil is cheaper and works fine. Hopefully, it won't come to that. Good luck.
