Default having a tough time finding a grill for my EK

I need a 99-00 front grill and I am having some trouble finding one. I am only able to find the cheap $30 ones I would like one with no H logo and be able to paint it to match my car color (so no carbon fiber) could someone help me out? Also I dont want the weird metal mesh grill I think that looks lame, like chicken wire or something.

deffinetely go OEM badgeless, alot of people mistake it as an only SI/CTR part but it was optional in 99-00 just like the front and rear lips (although the front lip was standard on the Si) Many times you see Si's with the normal badged grill up front. It's worth the money to get a real deal one too, i've seen the ones from ebay and they fit terrible, it's not worth the gamble.

it looks similar, correct me if i'm wrong but your midori hatch still has the 96-98 front on it correct? if this is the case you will have to go with a knockoff grill because a genuine honda one will only fit the 99-00 front end. You can make a knockoff grill fit good if it doesn't already, it may just need a little bit of extra modifying, and some patience. But either way i'd go badgeless.

Nope everything is 99-00 I only need a hood and grill to finish my conversion.

The real deal oem Si grill is the way to go, for sure. Btw, the link posted earlier in the thread for the grill for $80, was the grill only, surround not included. Real complete grill are worth a few bucks

Surround? Ugh so there is more than one piece for the 99-00 grill? My 96-98 grill is one piece, do you have a link to a COMPLETE real deal OEM si grill? This is so difficult!

yes, the mesh seperates from the outer trim. Your best bet is to pony up the cash and get one from PWJDM, i believe they are $189 but atleast you know it's going to fit perfect and be exactly what you want.

this is the oem diagram....as you can see, the grill #1, is the grill only, you also need the surround molding

But I know there are other options than Password JDM and much cheaper too, I mean PWJDM cant be the ONLY place to buy an OEM si grill, I mean come on!

you're right it isn't, but if you know there are cheaper places then why are you asking? I like dealing with password because i trust them and have done business with them many times over the years. I've been ripped off a few times with other places (eh hem jdmcarboy.com) and i'd rather spend a couple extra bucks as more of an insurance thing than anything.

P.S. they are $200 from inlinefour.com, but they are also brand new. it might be more worth it to pay an extra $10 and get a brand new one, rather than $189 used.

I think im gonna go with the $80 one on craigslist I emailed him and asked about the condition, color and style. Im gonna see what he says. I personally think paying over $200 for a small piece of plastic is a bit much.
