EG6 SiR

Alright the swap went smooth, but when I started her up for the first time, I noticed a steady stream of oil leaking on the front left side of the head gasket. Also when I took it for a spin I noticed a cloud of smoke in my rear veiw mirror only above the vtec crossover. It seems to be burning oil so I did a compression test and the results were as follows: 175 180 165 175. Could the oil leaking from the head gasket be leaking into the cylinders as well or is this something else like the valve seals or the piston rings. Please let me know because this is getting frustrating not knowing what I have to do to fix it. Some more info on the motor: I bought it off a friend and he said he repalced the head gasket and the cam seals. He also had the head milled to .042". Any and all help will be greatly appreciated! i have a usdm b16a3...i have a little oil leaking from the same place you are talking about but im pretty sure its not the head gasket. you are in the same situation i am in. i bought mine of abuddy who replaced everything.

i also have a milled head and did a compression test but my results were waaay higher (243). your numbers seem loooow. especially from for a milled head. my best guess is the piston rings because of the smoke you are talking about (burning oil) and the low compression test numbers.

how much oil do you have to put in it? do you check it daily?
