Default Having problems with my 93 civic si hatch lsvtec.

ok im FAIRLY NEW TO HONDAS when i first got my car it ran fine and it was fast (btw B18B1 block and B18C HEAD). But now its been throwing CEL's , i checked my first cel and it was code 7 (TPS) i havent done anything with that yet.

First Problem- When im in VTEC for a long time, like getting ready to race some one i get a check engine light and my vtec doesnt kick in for a little bit then it will turn back on but in a different engagement point . this sucks because when im trying to top out my car like after i hit 140MPH and let off i get a CEL i think its my TPS on that one.

Another problem- is my vtec normally hits at 5000, just recently it been going crazy and hitting at 5500, 6000, 6500!! i have no clue what that could be, i took off the vtec solenoid and cleaned it a little bit, and after i put it back on NO VTEC (WTF) so now every time i start my car i have a CEL which im guessing to be my vtec>? no clue what to do. btw i have a chipped p28 skunk 2 10,000 rev. and i lose all my power at 5500 with out vtec, after 5500 the motor is just roaring but the car is not going any where.

Next problem- when it rains and now it does it dry, my car shakes enough to be noticed in side but after 45mph its fine...

HELP PLEASE!

There is no sense reving the **** out of the engine trying to keep it in vtec before you launch. The car has to be under load and up to normal operating temp and there is something else that I am missing but the short of it is vtec will not engage unless the engine is under load

i dont rev the **** out of the engine when im gonna launch, what i was trying to say is that when im about to race from a roll is when i keep it at high RPMS like 6500 and some times my vtec engages and some times it wont but it is under load. The car is under load when i expirience this problem.

Another thing is my vtec sounds really wierd when it engages, sounds like metal hitting metal but right at the engagement point only. If i cant figure this out soon im gonna bring it to my mechanic.

Here are the conditions that must be met for vtec to engage per the factory service manual this is for the d16z it might differ a little for your engine
Engine rpm 4800min
Vehicle speed M/T 13mph A/T 3mph
Water Temp 140*f
engine load judged by intake manifold neg pressure
