i dont think those would work very well for city lights, especially LED's, you'd barely be able to see it. you could try it out yourself and see how it goes, but i dont think it would do much.

they come with holes for the city lights. the light sockets are $20 extra and you still need to get bulbs.
might as well drill a hole in your stock headlights and save $400.

I saw a car with green ones on and all it did was irritate me and didn't light the plate up at all. Just two green LED dots staring at me in the darkness. Utterly pointless and equally useless.

I agree with this gentleman; I think they'd be damn near invisible. Installing the city light sockets in your stock units seems like it would be worth the trouble if you're going to go through the effort though. In fact, now I'm thinking about doing it.

In my past vehicles I used an LED for the city light, just drilled a hole for it on the bottom of the housing and put in blue LED. Worked good, was almost too bright. My first set was a 3watt bulb in a kit from a VW store that was alright looking but I couldn't get the blue like I wanted so I tried the LED and worked good. I am considering doing it to my SI headlights because when the LED is off you can't even see it in there because it is clear.
