Um hell no... I always use FRAM oil filters but last time I used a K&N... I have never used Honda filter for an oil change and have never had any problems... unless it different on newer cars I think theyre bullshitting you.

I think so too.. Its warranty work and that is not the dealer I purchased it from (not sure if that makes a difference as to why they dont want to do the work).
Of course the warranty is not going to cover an oil change, so its on me, $112 for labor, diagnostic fee etc.. + another $140 for the rental car prob, I am PIST!
It had a FRAM filter on it.
She also said something about the viscosity, I just think they are morons. I told her *** exacty what the problem is and a couple possible causes.

Are you sure you had the right filter for your car? Refer to your owners manual to find the right filter. If not, then just buy the right filter and redo the oil chage yourself and save about $100.

check your oil level using the dipstick, let the car run for til its warm, then let it sit for 5 minutes, lift up the dipstick and check the level, should be between the 2 lines. If its a little towards the shallow end then add a little bit of oil, if its close to the top its good, if its a little over, which I highly doubt it is, then its fine.
Maybe you used the wrong filtered that just happened to fit that was a little bigger, when you use a new filter its always smart to use a little more oil cuz the filter sucks things up. And I've read that its bad for drive the car when the oil light is flashing, premature wear. so just add a little oil and see if it goes away....

there are a few other reason why the light would come on like low pressure or maybe the oil return lines are clogged thus causing the engine to think its low on oil. There is enough oil in there. No doubt

Re: (EJ8VTEC)
I would just drain the oil and throw the filter away and do it over again. Use the right amount and oil and make sure you have the correct filter and clear the code from the ecu. It if comes back again then go from there.
