HalfShaft Cause of Tranny Failure?
Hi there...new to the place...testing out the knowledge-base here
I just had a HalfShaft snap at the Tranny end of the driver side on a 95 VX. *yes i said VX * It just pulled out of the kuckle inside of the boot...nothing SERIOUSLY major...but I figure the instant pressure alone would be enough to cause Tranny failure.
Now my Transmission sounds like I have rocks in it and the wheels barely turn. Was the cause of my tranny breakage due to the Halfshaft Snap? Or was my halfshaft snap caused by my tranny failure?
Thanks for any help I can get. BTW..It JUST happend...so i haven't gotten a chance to break open the tranny to see what is the true problem.

its going to be hard to determine, which caused the other
but once you open up that trans case, you may get more clues
