Default H3 bulb for you fog light need.... the difference.

Here are three different type of H3 for your fog light need. They will be compare using lamin-x yellow film.

Stock H3 bulb that come with OEM fog light kit.


SilverStar H3.


Piaa crystal Ion yellow H3.



The temputare with not effect the lamin-x at all. Drove 1hr 30min night time with fog light on, still good and new.

what about an hour of being on and not driving? thats what will matter as no air is going past to cool it off.

it also looks like the silverstars suck nootzak

Left it on for 30min without moving and still good as new.

my friend uses Sylvania 100w bulbs in his depo foglights. there way brighter than OEM. im thinkin about puttin them in with the IS 300 fogs.

He did a DIY Yellow fog with lamin-x film. Basically in simple terms, he had clear fogs, turned them yellow, and testing different bulbs (temp wise) to see if they will hard his yellow film. thats what i understood it as.

brighter bulbs. hes testing to see which bulbs are brighter. yea he did a diy on yellow fogs but thats coincidence. i dont get how you cant see the difference. the piaas are a but load brighter and a healthy shade of yellow for fog. arent sylvania bulbs the walmart brand? if they are brighter, sweet

Yeah, the sylvania are the one where you can get it from walmart, kragen or any other local store.

i got the lumica's or something like that and its a japenese company that makes the h3 bulb and it is just as bright as yours without the yellow paper

on the package it says jdm yellow
i got them from my local jdm store!..lol

why not just buy yellow H3 bulbs??

this is what i plan on doing, ive ordered my depo fog lights and am gonna pick up some yellow H3's
