H22a EK hatch AC diagnostic problem
Im not sure if there is a master tech out there that can help me with this problem but here goes...
I have a 1993 h22a in an 96 hatch and Im trying to get the AC system to work (I had bought the hatch with a blown motor and have no idea if the AC worked before or not but most likely it did)
Im using hasport motormounts and a HCP AC bracket with the stock civic compressor.
My compressor flywheel, the condensor fan and the cooling fan dont turn on when I turn on my AC system (so basically the whole AC system doesnt turn on at all)
I figured maybe the system gets no power... (burnt fuse or bad ground) so I checked all the fuses (all good) then I check the grounds near the driver headlight (sanded and showing continuity to the battery)
Next I check if there is enough pressure in the high side of the AC system to allow the pressure switch to close the circuit (I had about 28psi)
The only thing I could think of left is that the AC system diagram shows that it gets an ECM signal and I had peiced together my engine harness from a 97 civic automatic harness and a 98 prelude automatic harness and somehow screwed up or left out this wire...
So question is.... is the ECM wire important for the whole system to complete the circuit? (I cant tell from my helms 98 integra, helms 96 prelude, or haynes 96 civic repair manuals...)
Thanks honda gurus (no guesses please, only hard fast facts)...
