H22 Swap but which tranny?
I am buying an H22 motor hopefully in the next two or three weeks and I am dropping it into a 92-95 eg hatch. What trannys are you guys running on your H22 swaps?

Re: (rxse7n)
A friend of mine told that there is an adapter plate for a d-series tranny so it can fit an H22. Or I have also heard a b18c would fit to.
Gotta start doing some reading. Coming from a Mazda

I dont own a h22 but i have seen people puting h22 or h23 in there accord and they kept their F-Series tranny... so i believe you could do this in your civic. Also F series tranny are less stronger than H tranny but they cost way less... if you have cash go for a h series lsd... cant be wrong with that one.

the optimal tranny would be the h22 tranny. but an f22 tranny out of the accord would work also. i put an h22 in my 91 accord lx and didnt have to do anyhting with the tranny. it was kinda fun cause accord gears are super tall. so if you like top end , go with the accord trans. with the h22 it wasnt that good in the quarter, but it would go 150+ mph, i went 150 and kinda got scared and backed out. so there ya go

LOL,a1320honda is right bout the F22 trans. The only thing good bout that is if you like squeezing nos. I would stick w/H22 trans.

you could use an accord tranny with a h22 as it fits on the motor but....
if you planning on using custom mounts (as in a civic swap) you cant...
prelude and accord tranny mounts are different
(there are no accord / civic mounts to my knowledge)
