Is this a recent problem or have you had the swap in there for a while? And by power cut off do you mean you can,t get it to go above 7000 or is it acting as if that is its Rev limit?
i mean that the rpms still climb till 8500 but the car is not going like it does say at like 6000 rpm. and i had an h22 in my prelude that we swaped in and it pulled all the way to red line. i just got my new computer in there but before the rev limiter was kicking in at 7000 rpm so i chipped the p06 and this is how it is running now
your problem is in your fuel/ignition maps. I just recently switched chips in my p28, and my car pulls harder over 7k now than it used to. I tried running the JDMShit p28 chip, but all it does is add fuel and advance timing. If your internals are stock, run a stock rom.
when i ran the p13 ecu i through the electronic load detector code and since my car is canadian it does not have one so it rev limited at 7000 and i got my po6 chipped by a company called ecu tunning.com and my cousin has a 91 hatch with a type r and he is running a p28 chipped from the same place and it pulls all the way to 9000 so i am confused . would advanceing the timing help????

well that is the only thing i can think of to do i e-mailed the guy who chipped my computer to see if i got a bad chip or something and to see what he says i am out of ideas
i doubt it was a bad burn. you need to find out how the maps on your chip compare to the stock maps on the p13. if all your engine's internals are stock, the best chip you can run is the one with the stock maps. Personally, I'm running the stock jdm p13 maps on a p28 chip with vtec lowered to 4800 rpm's, and no speed limiter. I've tried many other chips, but until you mess with your internals, nothing beats stock.
