H22 in a 93 coupe or JDM B16a in a 93 coupe???
Damn i have a post somewhere on here saying" I want a h22 in a hatch, somebody trade me!". However, if nobody wants to trade me then im just thinking about trading my b16a for a h22 to put in my coupe. Im building my car for Track, and occasional rips on the street basically a sikk DailyDriver but im trying to go N/A and with a b16 its not that easy to pull sikk times as it would be with a H22, and i made a mistake buying the b16a...but im torn between what i should do. My b16a is 2nd gen. with ITR intake manifold &T/B, ITR LSD tranny, H22 injectors, and B&M FPR... and it ripps but with BasicBolt-ons on a H22 im sure it will ripp harder. So what should i do? keep the b16 or go for the h22 Hmmmm.....Hopefully nobody flames on this thread: Just tel me what you would d0 JDM

i would keep the b16. throw some cams in it and it will "rip" even more. dont go through all the trouble of swapping the h series in there if you already have a good motor to work with.

Re: (93egCoupe)
If you drive a B16 hatchback, and then a H22 hatchback, you'll know right away why a lot of people want to go H22. It's a world of a difference. The B16 ain't no slouch either, but in torque and throttle response, it's like night and day (stock for stock). And if people start talking about how a H22 Civic handles, everyone on here will start jumping in saying that it handles great (which it does, as I've taken my old H22 hatchback on the road race course a few times, so I know first hand how a H22 hatchback reacts around turns and elevation changes).
As for which one you should go with.... all comes down to what you really want out of your car, buddy.

Re: (Newman)
yea what Newman said. a lot of people say how the handling with an h22 sucks, but they never had first hand experience. i was in your situation before but with a b18b. it was a torquey and a fun daily driver but the top end kinda suck. people with with b16 would creep up to me on top of 3rd. so now with this new setup, im loving every minute of it.

I know but i want my car for the 1320 and occasional daily driving, but i have a heavy *** 93 Ex coupe well they arent that heavy but once i gut it out it should equal to a eg hatchie(hopefully) but damn i really want to at-least try it. Like if somebody trades me a h22 for my b16a and later on throughout the years if i dont like it i can get a b16a again or even a b18c1 or c5 or mabey a cR
bump thanks for your in-put
