Get the correct part and stop halfassing the swap.

Thanks marc, and please keep the peanut gallery quiet. I was across town at a buddies shop and was offered a free part. Just curious if I should have taken it. Upon closer inspection I realized it would not work. BTW you call it half assing, I call it a forced swap under almost non-exsistant budget. Not all of us are rich......

D series are smaller than B, and H/F/K are larger. Wont work.

Half-assing as in attempting to throw things together to get a car running even though there's no way in hell the parts fit. Then again, what else is new these days. People don't have the time to research information but have all day to watch tv and be on Facebook. Haha

My bad, i thought the point of the site was to trade useful tech info, not blast people who are doing all of thier own mechanical work and had some questions. As momma always said " If you can't add something useful to the conversation, then MYOB.

I'm not trying to be an *** or anything. It's just getting lame to see all these "new" members ask the same damn questions over and over and over again. Seriously, if people are too damn lazy to research the information they need, what's the point of working on cars. You have to learn how to crawl before you RUN.

I feel ya, and honestly I couldn't find anything on it quick, so I made a thread.. I don't know a lot about swaps, other than the 4, d series swaps and a 5 speed conversion I have done personally. Just never swapped d/b. Hell before I got on HT, I'd never seen a H2B conversion. Got me thinking about a H23 my boy has sitting in his shop. I always appreciate help in any form, even if it is just answering a stupid question. Maybe someone else will read this thread and not have to ask.

No problem. Like grumblemarc mentioned, if members make posts that had some thought behind the question, other members don't mind to lend a hand with advices/suggestions....including myself.
