Re: h.p. gain/lose
With stock compression, the HP gain would come from the bore and hone you should get when installing new pistons. Even that wouldn't increase power much over stock, but an older motor isn't going to produce the same maximum HP as it did brand new, so the benefit will depend on how well the motor's running now. The rods and pistons, at stock compression, would be more for handling the stresses of higher HP from other sources, such as a small turbo or an increased redline. IMO you should get a valve job when putting new pistons in, getting both sides of the combustion chamber sealed up real well.

well Vitara's are for FI. And you dont need forged rods unless your going FI, because you wont break the HP threshhold on the stock ones.

Re: h.p. gain/lose
you would be wasting money to put those in your car without a turbo setup to accompany it later.
as for building the head.... dont waste your money. unless you planned on doing an all motor d build (waste of money) it will get you pretty much nowhere compared to a b series swap or a simple turbo kit on what you already have.
my advice is do some research on the sight and learn how all these parts work for and against you before you start throwing money around.

Re: h.p. gain/lose
If you had the head worked on and got oversized valves, they would help you make more power on the top end. Just replacing the valves with the same size won't really make more power. Tighter or dual valve springs are one step toward raising the redline, ultimately making more power. The tighter springs also increase rotational resistance, decreasing hp somewhat.
