Default Guys running Skunk2 IM for their B18C

Sup guys,

I recently purchased a car with the motor already in and skunk2 IM already installed but the thing i noticed was the pcv hose that leads out just drops off and is not hooked onto the IM. (Im not too familiar with B series since i had a f series.) Im assuming from threads i have read and the drawings ive seen that the hose leading out of the pcv valve hooks up to the IM. But since mine is a skunk2 IM and NOT and standard GSR IM, where would the location be to hook up the pcv hose? Should i be looking for a nipple on the Skunk2 IM? Anyone have a pic? That would be appreciated

I even tried reading through a haynes manual and look for pics but there are none to show where that hose leads to

I'm not sure about the hose.. I would assume there should be a nipple somewhere on the IM for it to hook up too, but I've had no experience with Skunk2 IM at all.

One thing you need to do is make sure that your ECU is chipped with the Skunk2 program or some program that eliminates secondaries. If your ecu isnt set up to run without secondaries then you are actually losing power from the Skunk2 IM..

Of course, that's assuming that it is a B18C GSR engine.. Not Type-R...

the pcv valve hose is supposed to go to the front nipple. the biggest one.

its the fat hose that goes directly over the throttle cable.

Im running a Erics racing chipped p28 that eliminates the secondaries. Thanx for the pic Another weird thing i noticed is that my oem FPR vacume hose that has that small vacume line on the top is routed to a rear nipple on the Skunk2 IM rather than the one in the front like B Cruz's. Is the nipple in the rear of theSkunk2 IM capped off for you B Cruz?

Edit : The rear nipple i am talking about is located on the drivers side of the Skunk2 IM in the back of it.

the rear little nipple on the drivers side is for the evap purge valve. the front is for the fpr. well thats how it is like from the factory but I wam sure you can switch them up with no benefits.

Oh ok.. Since my car was swapped into an hatch i dont think they ever swapped over that evap purge valve. I'll try and swap the hose to the front nipple and cap the rear nipple and see what happens. Thanx a lot bro

I was told by the seller that it was a chipped p28. The ecu was chipped by Erics racing. It has a raised vtec engagement at around 5800-6k. I went on their site and it states that their ecus run ITR fuel maps and just raised vtec engagement. I dont throw a code and the CEL works and lights up fine when i start it up the car. Maybe thats why the FPR vacume hose was re-routed to the rear?

Changed out the pcv and connected the hose from the pcv valve to the large nipple and swapped the hose and it doesnt throw any codes whatsoever.

I brought up the code issue because you didn't have a evap purge hooked up.

Chris M: thats actually another HT member's engine bay.RoaringTurtle. The pic was borrowed from the Valve cover art thread in the appearance forum.
