Default Gutted cat tuning

Someone told me that a catalytic converter will throw off the wideband o2 sensor that dynos use to tune cars. Is this true? I want to get my vafc tuned, but want to know if I should get a high flow cat or gut mine(i have a spare one laying around).

Default Re: Gutted cat tuning (93gsrcoupe)

Just get a test pipe. or a high flow one. Gutting it out will be pointless cause the aiorflow will be very low. your car will still be breathing through a hole this big ().High Flow cat ( ). But with a test poipe it would breath like this ( )
