Usually a build involves something even remotely tech related - this is just him adding a bunch of cosmetic bullshit over time.

Should be in the appearance/cosmetics forum - no tech, all pix of cosmetic stuff...yea, appearance/cosmetics...

@ OP:
Nice Jamaican sock on the brake fluid reservoir.

wtf is with the recent influx of "check out my car" threads in the tech sections?

Yes, I know you can't post in appearance right away. the idea that you might have to actually contribute something before seeking internet approval of your civic is rough, but most get through it.

Have you ever wanted to step in and stop a "build" in progress? You know, save a stock chassis that's still in good shape from being riced out. Especially when it's the same car you have sitting in your driveway.

But as I scroll down I really don't see anything too bad. I personally wouldn't go for an engine tuck, CF hood, or anything JDM on my teal Civic VX w/Integra seats, but your implementation is good and so far you haven't gone overboard.

These people are just going to keep hating on you though. You might want to try a better forum, like civic-eg.com

well this is honda-tech.

i dont even like this site too much...cant even keep up with it...i am on a different forum where i talk with people about civics

and we have a section called "buildup thread" which is where you show off any mod of your car...kinda like to keep a diary of your car, over time. i thought i would make this so i can reference a bunch of pictures quickly.

sorry this isnt a tech build. there has never been anything wrong with the car...i have 217000 miles with no sign of it ever dying. this is a civic. not a ford. it doesn't need tons of mechanical attention.

when it does, i will get my black daily on the road, which i stripped down to the basic frame, and rebuilt the way i thought best, including all harnesses to vx and completely rebuilt the d15z1 motor(am not a noob) i will make the teal car white, shave the bay, swap in a gsr block with itr pistons matched with a b16 head...and still unsure of the trans...i have an LS one but its not going to be used.

and yes i own all of those motor parts minus the itr pistons.

then i will get into autocrossing

and sorry to everyone that i am not a millionaire and dont have some baller car, i have been working on this for two years, it is my pride and joy and i enjoy what i do to it. if you dont like, then just keep building your car.

thanks.

also thanks to everyone that said something positive. i appreciate it.

i moved it down. its still there...i am looking for another egr box and shock tower harness from a vx if you know of anything, i would appreciate it!

thanks for the kind words. this thing is a work in progress i might not ever finish it. who knows?

notice the black fenders...ya i could have painted them a long time ago. but i want to change the color. if your going to do something do it right. and do it the first time.

i admit i have put a lot of "cosmetics" on the car

and if i could do it all over again i would have started with paint. suspension. motor. then cosmetics. but i didnt, and i didnt have any money when this started. i moved out of the house when i first got this car so i feel like i came a long way in my life with this car. i am only 23. still very young. i dont think i will have my ideal car until i am in my 30s.

so i dont try to get ahead of myself, this is the most expensive hobby to have.

but thanks!

the cars come a long way. I think the vtec-e valve cover is unique, and would look better if you took a file or sandpaper and turned the letters silver by filing off the paint.

thanks guys

for starters, i dont have the red floor mats anymore, i have dc integra mat on the drivers side, and black oem one on the passenger side

i have all the black mats, and they are soooo clean, but the FIRST day i put them in i stepped in dog **** somewhere and got it on the mat. sucks. i still have to get around to cleaning that one haha

about the valve cover, i know exectly what you are talking about, and i did it to my old car, but for this one i think it just looks better all black, i wanted to go for a really dark bay....when everything is done you will see what i mean. haha, when everything is done...like that will ever happen

I got no issues w/ you working on your car because you can't afford a "rich balla" car - I can't either - I can empathize.

Though these are all cosmetics pictures - this is a technical forum.

See if you can have an admin move your thread here or something:
https://honda-tech.com/zeroforum/28

The '92-'00 civic forum is for people who want technical help with technical problems.

EDIT:
Actually this one's even more appropriate:
