GSR vs. B20vtec on a 2000 coupe
FIRST of all i think every one need to stop talking bout the girlfriend issue
im asking about a motor not a girl
this site is HONDA-TECH not no GIRL-TECH
its basically my secondary car she only use it to go work
want my girlfriend to go fast
planning on putting a JDM GSR on my girlfriends 2000 black coupe
is it good enough or should i go for a B20vtec
what tranny should i use (should i just get a ITR trans)
and what is the best full race clutch out there ????????

**** I wouldn't let my girl drive any of my civics. I opt to get her a KIA or maybe a Prius....LoL. It just seems that all the car crashes or incidents have to do with a chick behind the wheel. I mean I'm no hating but it's a proven fact. Especially chicks with fast cars, they think they can get away with a slight manouver and then BAM . Ends up in someone else ***

How much do you want to spend? Is it going to be built or stock? What are your power goals? At least elaborate on somethings before just asking GSR or B20vtec.

I think your GF has a nice unmolested civic and you want to molest and you probably already cruise her car and claim its yours. Plus i would never spend put money into her car....Its too hard to get it back after ya kick her to the streets.

Go with the gsr swap for simplicity and peace of mind that its reliable. Remember an Lsvtec or B20vtec isnt a honda built motor its just sumthan that crazy honda heads created so "reliability" can always be an issue with those motors. You want your girl in a car that you know will 'work' everytime she needs it to. GSR MOTOR=SIMPLE & RELIABLE.

just turbo the motor that's in it. put a dual chip and a 2 stage BC so that it's limited on boost when she drives it, switch it to "super, ultra, mega, HI, JDM boost" when you drive it.
or nitrous. off when she drives, on when you do.

Let me get this straight:
1. Your girlfriend won't be racing the car.
2. It's her daily driver.
3. When you drive it, you just go on cruises.
Why do you want to do the swap? In the end it's your car but I would do anything.

get a gsr.. its more reliable without the problems of an incorrect build of a b20 vtec.. if you want daily driver with alot of torque then just get a b20b or better a b20z long block and mate it with a gsr tranny. Dont go b20 vtec I mean you say she doesnt want to race but want a fast car? well then go GSR.. if all else fails get her a SCION TC!! very cliche'
