I am getting my jdm gsr engine built next week and i was wondering if it would be better to rebuild with stock 10 to 1 ratio and sleeve block or rebuild with 9 to 1 ratio and sleeve block? Which would be cheaper? Im looking to make 300+hp
And what would be the best head build for a turbo gsr? (For running around 300+hp)

Re: GSr turbo compression help
For your goals, leave it alone. Just get a good tune.
The cheapest would be to leave it alone. Building it would give you more room in the future if you ever want to go with higher HP.
Personaly, I would just leave it. Unless you can afford it, and might want to go with higher HP in the future.
But you can always build it when you want more.

You should have no issue making 300 on a stock GSR WITH a good tune.
Stock sleeves should be okay in 500 range. Pistons rods, I don't really know.
This also really depends on how healthy the motor is to begin with.

A guy in my area has a bone stock JDM ITR making 440whp on like 18psi w/ a 60 trim. I made 340whp on 14psi w/ a 54 trim w/ my bone stock GSR block and B16 head. No need to sleeve unless your looking to go 500+. Its all in the tune...and some luck. Piston/rod upgrades would be an added insurance but is not necessarily needed.

OP: You're all over the place.
If your goals right now don't exceed 350whp then you have no need to consider building the engine. A good headgasket + a good tune will be all you need.

Nothing. As I understand it B-series are capable of making 300hp on a stock block boosted. Also you might want to go the Forced Induction forums and look up the 300 horsepower B-series builds.

If it goes blame yourself for not doing proper research and relying on strangers in a forum to tell you what to do.
The reason you're scared is because you haven't read up on anything on your own. I read for nearly a year before I bought my first turbo part and then took another 8 months to piece it together. 2 years later I still have no issues with it. Educate yourself and stop depending on hearsay.
