Default GSR tranny gear problems?

Hey guys,

INFO: GSR Tranny in a 93 civic mated to an LS. Stage 2 clutch.

ISSUE: Here recently within the last few weeks my GSR tranny has seemed to develop the following problem.

During upshifting while accelerating the tranny is fine other than a notchy feeling sometimes when going into 4th. That hasn't been bothering me to much. The issue that is really annoying is when downshifting. Alot of times it will not go into 3rd. You can push on the shifter as hard as you want with clutch in and it will not go, usually once you get down to around 20mph it will finally pop in. Other times it will actually go into 3rd right when I needed it to.

SCENARIO: The other day while cruising home from work I got behind a guy that was doing about 10mph slower than the posted 45mph speed limit. After cruising behind him for 5 miles or so I finally got to a passing zone and it was clear to pass safely. My gear of choice was 3rd but it would not go in at all. So I settled for 4th.

Transmission has oil and I changed it a bit earlier this year.

My question is, what seems to be going on?

CLIFF NOTES: Tranny will go into 3rd gear while upshifting under acceleration without any problems an or grinds. When downshifting, alot of times it will not go into 3rd at all.
