Default GSR del sol

my battery light came on the other day so i thought it was my battery going weak and had it tested at autozone, it was bad so i replaced it with a new one and thought my problem was solved but it started to come on again and my idle would bounce up and down at stop lights... i had my alternator tested also that was not the problem and my connections are all good too, has anyone had similar problems?

havent had my battery light come on, but are u sure it wasnt ur check engine light that was ON? because ur rpm's fluctuating back & forth at idle will be ur idle air control valve goin bad so make sure, and see if its nor ur cel. hope this helped...

Make sure your belt is not stretched out and it could be the voltage regulator or corroded pig tails on the harness, i had that issue on my 91 b16 sedan and it was just a rusty corroded pigtail.

what started acting up again? the fluctuating idle or the intermittent battery light comming on? and did u replace the gasket that mates between the iacv and the intake manifold? also if u have a digital multimeter (if u dont I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you get one) measure ur battery voltage while the cars off, record ur reading, and then turn on ur car and measure the voltage again and this we help me diagnose ur battery problem

check your grounds, then check that the connection to the alternator is in good shape as well as your battery connection. start simple and work your way up

it ended up being my alternator after all so i picked one up, replaced the bad alt and everythings back to normal now...i first tested the alt by starting the car and disconnecting the negative connection on the battery to see if it would die which it didnt but i later found out that test is not accurate and so i took it to autozone to have it tested where it failed

yes its all back to normal now, i guess it kinda makes sense bcuz of the power loss which would cause the bounce
