grounding wires to bare metal or over paint live in NY and have salted roads and rust problems
so i just orderd a nrg grounding kit, now everyone says to file out the paint at any of the ground spots, well i live in new york and i think if i got bare metal then my ground wire to it im gonna start to rust and then it wont be as good or good at all.
my question is should i just ground over the paint or clean the paint off the spot on the body im gonna ground to?
and which bolt on the intake manifold and where on the TB should i ground to? ill use search for these but just figured id add them in but the paint deal im not sure new york has wicked salted roads in the winter.

i think you're over analyzing this man.
Just ground over the paint.

You could sand back the paint and use some dielectric grease on the mating surface to keep it from rusting.

I would grind it down then paint over it or use some silicone after you get everything mounted down.
