Re: (DFW)
ran my d15b7 for months without it.
i have one on my d16z6, i have forgot to hook it up before (after valve cover removal) and noticed no difference.
however, i would just go ahead and put a ground on it.

Re: (mortificationrock)
it just helps to ground the motor....which allows it to start easier. its not that big of a deal, but i would put it back on when you get a new bolt.

actyually the ground on the valve cover is pointless, the only ground to have to worry abou are the tranny and actual electrical grounds, the valve cover ground does nothing at all. people swear up and down that it might do something but i havnt had mine for about a year now. havnt notcied any differences from other cars with the same mods and engines. also if u think about it where does the ground actually go to when its on the head? to the alumnium and the magniesium parts...parts which are not magnetic so why do you need a ground to something ungroundable?
