I have heard many places that the greddy evo exhaust is legal.... is there anywhere thats states it for sure that I could print it off and keep in my car as proof... our laws arent as bad as Cali so its not a carb sticker etc... but somthin in writing is always helpful...

it's illegal in va only b/c the ordinances for sound is subjective based on the cops description. For sound.

under va laws you can't have an aftermarket exhaust, yes i looked it up, no i won't look it up again and post it. and yes i've gotten tickets for it + court costs...

Depends on your state, but it does meet emissions , just depends on sound where you live.

i didnt knoe that, maybe cuz i dont live there but from what i heard i thought it was 50 state legal n if its legal in cali its prob legal anywhere else cuz emissions n cops suck here

it's a state law

it's 50 state legal for emissions (i'm assuming since greddy promotes it), but having anything other than stock exhaust technically is illegal in va, trust me i tried to fight it, printing out their website and all....i hate va

ps: i'm back to stock now....mmm...soo much better on the highway

unlike cali va doesn't have decible readings that can prove your car innocent... ...i wish they did, but they don't, it's up to the police officer's opinion...yes opinion...it sux

so what about like a harley or something that are like 4586 times louder than an exhaust, are they legal? or are cops just trying to stop young people from modding their car cuz ricers have to go n street race so they thing every import that has n exhaust will do the same?

in va it is illegal to modify the exhaust system altogether...

you hit the nail on the head. funny, i got a muffler ticket awhile back in a hicktown. i'll bet $2 the cop has a muscle car or motorcycle that was louder than my "ricemobile."

Nice hijack... and who here was looking to buy a Evo exhaust ?? If you were referring to me... just by the look of my sig I drive a 92-95 civic and I already have an Evo...

sincere apologies. No offense intended. You are correct I did not read your signature. To correctly answer your question, the EVO is CARB legal in all 50 states. The noise ordinances will be up to your local authorities.

call greddy, i'm sure they can send you something, just make sure they have a picture attached to whatever or the authorities won't buy it
