got a stumper...
i posted this in teggy forum too but more folks look here...
alright i built an all motor ls/vtec for my daily driver. car ran fine for a few weeks. then i get a cel for code 8. (tdc sensor). and turn the car off. it neglects to start. so i changed out the dizzy and drove away... that was a week ago. now today i'm driving back home from the shop and i get the code again. i get home and shut the car off and it neglects to start again...
so i change out the dizzy again and it starts... but i get the code after it idles for about 3-5 minutes. turned the car off. and it wouldnt start again. i disconnected the negative batt cable and let it sit for awhile and unplugged the dizzy and replugged it in then went and got my laptop and hooked up the ostrich and datalogging. car started right up but the code came on again.... so obviously it's not actually the tdc sensor going bad... cause its brand new.
what i dont understand is why just changing the dizzy fixed it for a week and now the car won't run for 2 minutes without the code coming on? but it will start and run as long as i want it to until i turn it off.
