Default got my jdm sohc vtec d15b tuned and dynoed with some surprising results!

it dynoed at 123 hp and 98 lbs. of torque. they couldn't give me a printout because something was wrong with their computer. eugene at http://www.prostreetimport.com did the job. it came in with 115 hp before the Vafc and cam gear was tuned and came out with 123 hp after it was tuned. my other mods are i,h,e and pulleys.

I dynoed at 98hp and 95 torque with a bone stock motor at 18 degres timing. Stock airbox too. I now have an AEM, header, pulleys and will have an exhaust before I dyno again. The dyno shop was amazed a D15B7 with 75K could even turn the rollers let alone dyno that well. (relatively speaking).

How much did the VAFC help the numbers.? Also you might want to check out HyperDuck Tuning Adrian has a nice array of chips for VTEC and NON-VTEC D series motors.! GReat guy will answer all your questions too. Chips ar elike $35 shipped too..!!

I read somewhere, about a guy dyno'ed his car and he had been running rich or something and had a lot or carbon deposits on the pistons which gave him a little bump in compression.

Maybe , maybe not...

Well the baseline dyno was 115 hp, and it was already equipped with the i,h,e, pulleys and an untuned vafc. after the cam gear was installed and tuned and the vafc was tuned, they were able to make about 7hp.

yah i was thinking of getting a cam, but i have been told that the jdm d15b cam is a very aggressive cam that is comparable to the Zex cam.

d15b is comprable to the 59100...you can upgrade springs and retainers and get the 59300 cam...or you can go with exospeeds cam

i would maybe even look into porting your head and getting some nice springs and retainers...then throw in a crower stage 3 cam. Your really not gonna see much gains on that motor with the zex 59300 cam. I have it in my y8 and it pulls like a mother, but I've heard that it only makes something like 4whp on a d15b.
