Good Idea, Or Bad Idea?
My car is stock. Stealies and everything. Just slammed pretty low. Right now my budget is tight, so till the summer is when i make like 3500, so should I just wait and get a type r for my hatch or should I get other things then motor like gauge cluster or exhaust, wheels maybe? What would you do? Plus i dont know if i will have enough for type r when time comes so maybe gsr.

if you have spare change to buy some goodies before you land that $3500 during the summer, i'd build up your suspension.
what are you building your car for? track? roadrace? auto-x? etc...

Depends...or else you could build a poor mans type r for under that price?

Agreed, I say save your money...then buy what you really want, your feelings might change once you have saved all that money up.

I also agree with that, you will need more than 3500 and also you need to make sure you have extra money to pay for little items that are involved with swaps(not to mention problems/random parts you can run into after putting the swap in).
you have close to a $100 just in stupid **** like:
Anti-freeze
Oil
Oil Filter
Tranny Fluid
my best advice is to make sure you have a decent amount of money to cover the cost of the swap(labor too if you aren't doing it) and plus extra for the problems that you might run into, would you want you car do be down until you can come up with the extra cash? Planning ahead is the best solid advance around, and that is with anything!
and good luck on your swap!
