Default Is this a good deal? EG hatch $2200?

A friend of mine is willing to sell me his 92 DX hatch for $2200. It's got 168k mi. It's completely stock and still gets 35mpg. It's in pretty good condition and doesn't have any major flaws or problems. Does the price seem fair?

I think I can drive it for a while then save up for a B16A2 or B18B conversion, whadda think?

tell your friend that i want his car more than you and will fight for it.
naw if its striaght then go ahead, i paid 2700 for mine but it only had
a lil over 70k on it and it was a one owner car. now the swap is under
way and waiting.if you want it and can afford it buy it you cant go wrong
b/c you can still turn around and sell it for 3500 to some dumb ***.

i payed $1800 for my 92 cx. it had 164k on it and it only ran on three cylinders, also i had to put new door skins, fenders, and hood. plus a decent paint job. now it looks good and a buddy and i got it runin on all four. i am now waiting on my swap and clutch.

I just bought my 92 CX 1/11/03 for $2000 w/ 125K and it needs a little work my car needs fenders and a bumper. (if you need to role your fenders to fit your wheels your wheels are to big! )

That sounds like a really good deal. If it's a friend, and you know he took care of the car, that's even better.. Especially for Cali, that sounds really cheap for a hatch. If he lived in N.J. I'd hand him $2200 cash in a heartbeat.. Go for it!!

Check body over for rust/dings. Get a Carfax report just to be sure it wasn't in an accident 8 years ago in another state or what not. Sounds like a deal IF you get it for less than 2000.

I got mine off of my ex-girlfriends sister for $2000 it's a 93 Civic CX Hatch with 127k miles on it. The paint is faded and the engine sucks, but hey... it's gettin the boot anyways

Scott

P.S. it's a good deal, do it.

That's a sweet deal, as long as you give the car a good inspection.
