Sounds like a nice car, but I'm sure an eg with those mods could be had for cheaper. Of course, that eg has about the same miles as my '97.

Just check it out pretty thorougly before taking deliverry. Make sure there hasn't been any body work done to it, no rust, or any bondo. Pop the oil cap, check the condition of the oil.

Take a close look at the interior for cleanliness, and just the general cleanliness of the car. Just to make sure you are not buying a car you won't want because of something you could have caught beforehand.

That's just what I would look for.

as long as the swap is done right and runs fine and the body/interior is in decent condition, i'd say it sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

Always risks when buying a used car. I'd try to talk him down to 6k.

Carfax it, see if it comes back clean.

Sounds good otherwise.

6500 is ridiculous. i wouldn't pay over 4 for that set up, but that's just me. i wouldn't do it, but it's your money.

to me thats a bit steep for me. its a basic eg with a motor swap and gsr seats and a paint job... the lsd might wow some but for the price i wouldnt rush to the phone or anything.

a little steep, 4500 sounds more approriate for that setup. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the car has been beat on. Go over every thing throughly. Don't skip anything. Try to get him to go lower.

sounds like a good car...but that is way too much to pay for a EG...maybe if he had a itr motor then there would be a agreement of your amount you said...i'd say the most you should pay for it is 5g's...at the most...
