that damage is fix able... i'd fix it if it were my car... i'm fortunate enough to not have had any accidents like you... but i want an em1, and when i get one i'm going to be hella paranoid over it.
what is your plans for this car? just let it go to the j/y?

more like stripped in about an hour... if i were you i'd just throw a single slam and some dx interior in there, then save it for later... or sell it.
OR better yet, take the 6500 from insurance, low ball the prelude owner, buy back this em1 and fix it and make it a track *****. you get to keep your car and you get a sweet dd.

I had a problem with an Escalade, with spinners no-less, too one time. One pulled in front of me and slammed his brakes on to make a left. The on-coming traffic was too close so he decided not to make the left and I ended up sliding into him at 35 mph.
The asshat had the audacity to come out of his fugly SUV, look at the damage from me rear-ending him and throwing up his arms in disgust.
I barely made a dent in his vehicle, but it ended up doing about $3K of damage to my front end.
Three months later the car was stolen.
This all happened within a year of me buying the EM1. Never got around to doing anything to it either.
Sorry for your loss.

I feel your pain brotha, my em1 means so much to me. i got rear ended a few months ago, and felt like killing the guy cause he was on his phone. theyre great and beautiful cars. i even gave mine a name (i know im lame).
I was wondering if you would sell the front lip. mine came off the fwy and looking to replace it. pm me if interested. i dont think the insurance company would know that the lip is missing or car for it.

Some insurance companies will let you buy the car back for whatever they sell it to the junkyard for, which would be like $200 maybe. Don't let it go to the junkyard, part it out on here at least instead of it going and being raped in the junkyard.

Yeah I know, last time I saw a picture of this accident you didn't have one... but with these new pictures obviously you do (its in the picture with the front bumper).
How the heck did it become separated like that though?

Same here.. Fail x12093211241
My first question wouldve been like "How much to buy it back?". That thing is going to be stirpped so fast at the junkyard too.. So many valuable parts on it! Including that rear lip, front lip, front bra etc.
OP is a n00b, it was a pretty clean car too with some clean pics!
PS: LOL @ the Federals on the slipstreams.

Dude, "gutting" your car doesn't mean you remove the carpet and some interior panels... YOU HAVE TO POUND OUT THE SOUND DEADENING MATERIAL!!!
Seriously, carpet weighs all of 2 ounces...
Since the OP asked...
1989 240SX - sold
1984 Starion ESi - sold
1993 180SX - Crashed trying to win street racer of the year
1993 Silvia K's - Junked because I was pissed at it.
1989 Alto Works RSR - trail braking into the S turn resulted in a bent frame
1992 Civic SiR - Stripped due to receiving recruiting orders but then orders got canceled two weeks after I stripped it.. **** my life.
Next EG6 will be interesting....
