No top while racing? I think you need the top, or a roll cage/bar at least. Even at the drag strip, they make you roll up the windows.

You can also remove the power steering and cruise control.

take all the seats out and sit on the floor of the car, remove your hood, trunk, bumpers, fenders, and quartpanels but leave the top on, also dont forget to remove your wheels too, those are heavy

You could take out the targa top holder in the trunk, carbon fiber front bumper and get carbon fiber fenders. You could also lose the storage behind the seats, interior door panels, passenger seat. If you get a carbon fiber trunk lid let me know because im looking for one. Just giving you some ideas. Good luck

AC, powersteering. Wouldn't touch bumper supports, unless you wonna die.

Extremes: passanger seat, carpet, sound ****, all the stereo, heater and blower ****, plus internal A/C **** out the window. Cut the dash in half so only driver's side part it left. Spare tire, and all the jack **** out the trunk.

I think you should get 100-200 pounds out of the car that way, I'm not totaly sure about that though.

hahah...reminds me of when super street or sport compact did this to a nissan i think...funny ish...made me think of all the morons here that are obsessed with weight reduction in thier daily drivers. Coming from a previous moron that has done this before...dont waste your time. Your stripped honda doesn't make you a "hardcore" racer...especially not when it shaves off a might .1 of a sec

Replace all your iron suspension parts with forged aluminum, remove all stereo including every unused wire. All fabric, tar, and fuzz must go.

Replace all your motor mounts with aluminum too.

That top holder mechanism that sits in the trunk definitely needs to go as well.

Don't forget to remove the front and rear beams, and gut the doors too (Remove side impact beams) The plasma cutter is your friend. ;-)

Basically remove EVERYTHING that doesn't make you go fast, make all body panels super light, and lastly put in a cage welded to the frame to protect yourself.

You really could have figured this out yourself.

Im going to do alot but keep some smart stuff. My car is only 70lbs more than my 94 coupe. I just want my car as fast as my coupe. I use to beat STR4s by 1 1/2 cars... MY DELSOL is one of the cleanest around. And i want to keep it stock looking..
I should push over 200hp to the wheels when im done.
All motor..

That nissan dropped 2.5 seconds so they must have only had 600 pounds left

Sounds like your street racing. Any road course or drag strip will make you run your roof or weld in a roll hoop

Make sure your tire pressures are good for conditions and that your alignment is perfect Then add a rear lower tire bar to prevent flexing between the rear suspension points, and add some traction bars for the front because wheel hop is worse that adding more weight.

you say your car is 2500ish so I am assuming you have the twin cam model in which case your removal list will look like this
