Going to buy AN-R b-series header
I'll be sending the money order for AN-R's compact b-series header this Friday. I was just wondering if anyone else was running this header and what you thought. I'm running the stock jdm gsr exhaust manifold w/ stock cx 1 3/8" piping right now - yes, it sucks. When I get the header, on goes a high flow cat, 2.5" piping out through a Borla XR-1. I can't wait.

sounds like a good idea, let me know when you install the header and post some pics..and let me know how good it feels..looking to get one of those headers as well.

My friend had that header. He gained like 3 car lengths with that header and made 197whp with CTR pis, ITR head, gsr cams, ITR intake manifold. You need to tune your car when you get that header to see full gain from it.

well if you don't have cams then you don't really need to tune your motor to get the full use of the headers
I mean i'm sure you can get like .5-1whp in the high end range with adjusting your FPR though. i'm thinking about that for my D16a6

Re: Going to buy AN-R b-series header (unstopabledj)
Yeah, I'll post pics (if I can figure out how to) and let the world know how it feels. If I ever get cams and skunk2 im (hopefully next year), then I'll go to a dyno and have it tuned. For now, cai/an-r header/2.5" exhaust on jdm b18c will be the setup. Thanks for the responses.
turbogixxer - BTW - what #'s did your friend throw down before the header?

My freind has their H22 header, still waiting to drop his motor in though so it isn't on yet. But the thing looks awesome, kinda like a pretzel or something. If I was you I would get it coated, my freinds is already starting to show small signs of rust, and it is just sitting in his bedroom.

Are you that retarded? Hop into the ITR forum. Find out how many people are making around 190 whp with an SMSP exhaust, stock cams and good tuning. There are quite a few.
Tuning is one of the best mods that you can do, even if you have stock cams.

Re: Going to buy AN-R b-series header (fowler)
well he has an B18c not c5 so the gains are going to me very different. if he has hondata or somthing AND cam gears i could see his B18c (i-e- anr header) makeing at most 170whp! that would be a super strong motor too.
now if it was an ITR with i-e-anr header with hondata and cam gear tunning then it would be realistic to see it make 185whp...... thats some really good numbers concidering that ITR dyno at about 165ish whp.
But if you have all that you have listed in you 1st post i honestly would only tune it with an FPR , & turn it up like 2-3psi
****BTW lets not compare SMSP with an-R or enything..... totally different in performace and characteristis of designe.

Well, he had a stock gsr header with a built motor so there was no reason to dyno it, but with a JDM ITR and his old set-up(his old set-up had more compression) he made 190 whp. So take what you what you can from that
