going 2.5" exhaust, what do i need to get?
I'm planning on replacing the exhaust system that came with the car when I bought it. Right now it has a dc sports intake, dc sports header(USDM), oem cat(probably clogged), and thermal turbo exhaust. The motor is a JDM B16 sirII. I've decided on getting the DC sports JDM header and 2.5" carsound cat, but what exhaust should I get that is 2.5" and not too loud? I'd also want to get the catback piping with a resonator to cut down on sound. Also, should I keep the intake or buy another one? Is http://www.accordinglydone.com a good place to buy piping? I don't have any good muffler shops around me, just midis/meineke. I'd rather get a whole kit and just bolt it on myself - I have air tools but no welding equipment.

why would you get a 2.5" exhaust for a motor that only has bolt-ons? 2.5" is kinda big for NA. I'm assuming that you have no plans for turbo because you talk about getting a header.

the motor has aftermarket cams, valvetrain, and v-afc. I might build up the block later on(pistons/rods/port & polish)

Check out this link
SMSP
Its an SMSP exhaust system for an integra but it has all the parts needed for a 2.5" exhaust. Also I recomend the magna-flow resignators shown in the pics. You can find the part #s on the magna-flow website. I have these resignators on my car and I love them they give the car a low tone.

i still feel 2.5in is too big. try 60mm or 2 1/4
unless you're pushing above 200whp, i'd stick with a 2 1/4 straight thru design.

Just go to a muffler shop and get 2.5 pipping with some sort of straight thru muffler i.e. magnaflow or es oval.. Then depending on how loud you want it get a nice size resonator. Also get a carsound high flow cat with that and your dc jdm header and youll be set.

id say go with the 2 1/4" too..when i went with a Jackson blower 2 1/4 was plenty big..so unless ur going with some kinda FI or laughing gas stick with the 2 1/4" or maybe even a 2'' with a straight thru muffler
with the bigger piping ur going to free up the exhaust flow but ur also going to slow it down..that not a good thing..and as ur exhaust slows down its going to start curling in the piping and that when ur car is going to sound like a weed whacker

good piping but its slip fit and weld together last I checked.
as for 2.5" , that is the route I would go if you want the most power.
