Default go na or turbo

Hi, im new here. please dont call me a noob or anything like that, im not, im just new here. Alright i have visions for my car, 1996 civic coupe, id like to make it a weekend drag car, yet at the same time be able to auto cross it occasionally. Here is my perdicament (sp), should i go boosted, or go N/A?? I have the set up already in my head. If i were to go boost, id start with a homemade kit, learn tuning first hand then go on to bigger better things. please keep in mind that these are just plans, but id like to get rolling now.

The set up id use for na consist of:
b16 swap
Toda ITB"s
Toda chip
larger injectors
Full msd ignition
je high compression pistons
ferrea valves
Toda cams
Crower ti valve springs and retainers
Thermal turbo exhaust
Highflow or no cat
find a highflow/racing header
thinner head gasket
(all necessary guages)
and if i forgot anything please include, or suggestions on parts

if i were to go boost this would be the first thing i would do:
16g dsm turbo
fmic (not sure what kind tho)
custom dp
custom manifold
1st gen dsm bov
generic kn filter
thermal turbo exhaust
larger injectors
fmu
missing link
turbo timer
boost controller
(all necessary guages)

from there i could use some of those parts and then move on to
b16 swap
HKS turbo, probably still a small one
spearco fmic
new dp and manifold
and probably a highflow (or just bored) intake manifold
and all necessary misc parts too.

please dont flame or anything, id like to get some educated responses. Thats why i came here. Thanks for you time.

B16s are fun but in a coupe you will need the torque. Put in a b18c1. I love mine. I am looking to add CTR cams CTR pistons and ITR valves and Skunk2 retainers, Ebelbrock Intake Manifold, and a toda race header, and lots of tuning. I just want something fun thats all. That should be able to kill stuff on weekends and enough power for autocross.

Plus get Front rear; upper and lower tie bars so solid suspension and nice motor.
And some nice Edelbrock adjustable struts mounted to my H&R's.

Thats just my plan though.

judging from your sig, "you are in college and short on cash." and you want TODA ITB'S??? i mean come on dude, just put the b16 in the coupe, and run that until you finish school. then you should have the money to do whatever. maybe a better car! good luck though.

if i did have the money, resleeve a 1.8L block to 2.0. and build that up for turbo. good luck again.

well for graduation, which is in a couple years, im getting my moms new (by then old) suv, (mazda tribute) i have a job now, so i can piece it all together, by that i mean get some odds and ends here and there. ill look at the b18c. This is all still in the vision stage. I go to champlain college in VT, its in burlington. well the cash thing, i actually do have some cash, but i have (belive it or not0 more important things to spend it on, like beer, college, and otehr random ****. I just want some other peoples input. As opposed to purehonda.com or speedoptions.com

This is what I would change your list to:
B18C swap -->More torque for NA
Skunk2/ITR Intake manifold --> Toda ITB are too much $$.
larger injectors
MSD ignition --> not really necessary but it might help.
JE high CR pistons
Fearra valves
Toba spec B cams --> nice power for the street
Toda valve springs -->should be paired up with toda cams
Ti retainers -->any good brand will do
Any good exhaust with 2.5" diameter --> 3" turbo exhaust too big for NA
High flow cat --> I would rather use a cat.
A good header with 2.5" collector
Thinner head gasket
guages

Anyways, thats what I find to be a better set-up.
