It will just mask synchro problems for a little while...but it will still eventually fail.
Do yourself a favor and rebuild the tranny before it completely shells itself.

gm synchromesh is supplied by pennzoil, its the same **** you get in yellow bottles at advance.
what you're looking for is gm sychromesh friction modified, which has been discontinued.
if you search there are TONS OF POSTS on this topic, and also lists a website that still had some as of a few months ago.

no ****... i dont get it, d series trans can be had for cheap, but not as cheap as this gear oil. if changing the fluid "bandaids" the prob for a while that sweet as hell. save money for more important things, like not a single cam. ya know and searching honda mtf too thin shows alot of people complaining. im sure honda mtf works sweet in *mint* trans but im sure if its old and kinda worn like our decade old cars thin oil might not be the best.
k0rupt if you try the penzoil lmk how it works out. i have a b16 with a cable trans that has the most ever so annoying grind into 4th, its not really bad just if you try to stick it in there when your rev's are up if it works out good i might have to try it this weekend.
