Yea, if you are constantly at 5k and up you are going to get bad gas mileage. The key to good gas mileage is keeping your revs low and throttle control.

just dont rev above 3000rpm. i dont have a b16 or b18, but i have a d16z6. i used to rev up to 35-4500 daily and get like 200-220 miles. i just recently started revving to around 2800 and i get around 250-270 miles.

Jeez, you guys get some el crapo gas mileage. I can get over 300 to a tank before my Walbro pump starts giving me crap. This is in a boosted 97 hatch with the honda 240cc injectors, E-Manage, and a Walbro 190lhr fuel pump.

well i usually fill up my tank when i get to 270, but im still above the line enough to get to 300. i'd just rather know i have gas than barely have any gas. dont want to be on the side of the road one day with an empty tank.

Yeah, before I got my Walbro (which complains when it gets low on fuel) that sits higher in the tank, I used to drive close to 350 miles before my gas light would come on. Guess I just have a freak of nature car.

my mileage took a dive too. i am attributing it mainly to the weather. do they add anything in the gas during the winter to make it burn cleaner? heard that before. and also, i need to change oil and do my 90k tuneup. hope it goes back to around 34mpg overall soon

you guy have sucky gas milage. i get at least 240 miles per tank, most of the time 260. and i drive it hard. i shift at 4k - 5k all the time on my b16a3. shifting at 3k would suck with the torqeless b16. and there are to many hills in san francisco.
