Re: gettin a motor bar legal
they wont ask u to show proof of purchase of the motor unless they somehow finds out it was stolen then maybe they will start to investigate...maybe if the ref was a dick then he might ask u for proof
i didnt have to show proof of purchase when i Bar'd my motor..i also didnt have the same year or newer engine, i had a 96 gsr in a 98 civic..the ref. just took my word for it when i told him it was 98 motor...im not sure if he let me slide cuz 96 was still obd2 but i still passed with a 96 motor in a 98 civic

the ref. isnt there to check for stolen parts, he is there to check over the vehicle to make sure it passes all the smog requirements for california..if it has a diff. engine change like we are talking about then it will be harder to pass bcuz everything has to be stickly OEM or Carb approved to pass

Gotta have all evap/emission lines hooked up correctly. Your harness has to look legit, no splicing and electrical tape. If you swap a B18C into your EG you're gonna need to take the charcoal canister from the GSR and swap it in also, and ETC. ETC. anything that has to do with evap and emissions.
