Gauge needles in delsol
Check out http://www.importintelligence.com - and click over to the intelliglow needle kits.
I know for 90 percent of hondas this does not apply. But Sol needles are the clear lexan with a white coating onthe bottom, so it looks like this mod would work for our cars.
I've searhed everywhere for info on a DIY on this, and i have nothing. the importintelligence page used to be a diy back in the day, but then they started producing the kits, and removed the how to section of their page. I cant remember how. I know there is a certain place on the back of the cluster you have to tap into the power, and there is certain places that you have to drill holes for the led's.
Just wondering if anyone in here has ever done this or knows any information on tapping DIY Led needle kits?
I know its kinda ricey, but when your driving your car, you need to have somthing cool to look at.

I'm speechless on what they are charging for god damn tach/speedo needles.

Re: Gauge needles in delsol (Happyman)
Yeha, and especially since youdont get new needles or anything, its jsut a LED kit. I can go to a radio store and buy the same thing for less than $10. I just dont know where to tap power in the back of the cluster, and where to muont the led's
I think i might take it apart this weekend, or try to find a junk one to practice on.

Re: Gauge needles in delsol (JRI94)
I got the ingidlow needes. I like them very much.
I tapped into the power wire for my stock light dimmer.
You do not need to drill or anything. Its pretty plug and play.
Once you pry off your needles, you also pry off the faces that have the numbers on them. then you put these rings around where each needle went, these rings have tiny little led's on them. Then you put your faces back on then put the needles back on (i had to grind some of the bottom of the needle away as it kept hitting the led's) I put these in a GSR cluster so I had to scrape the red stuff off the needles to make them clear like the del sol is.
I have pictures of what they look like at night if someone can host it up for me. Its really tight!!
I went a step further and found these chrome rings that go around the edges where the numbers are. The light from the led's blings off the chrome rings. its looks really nice.
I really don't like ricey stuff usually but I thought this was cool since almost every factory car after 2000 has glowing needles!!
