Gauge cluster question
ive got a 97 DX hatch, and that means no tach. I dont want an aftermarket one so ive been looking for gauge clusters from EXs, ive heard they just connect right up. My problem is that i was looking at the back of my gauge cluster today and saw blue and yellow connectors. In pictures ive seen there are also 2 green connectors back there (i think those are on the EXs, but im not sure).
I was wondering what all the connectors are for and why my DX doesnt have the green ones (unless i missed them somewhere haha) i thought those might be for the tach.
thanks to anyone who can help

im not sure if you will be able to see the pictures here or not, cause for some reason i cant on this computer, but in one of the pictures you can see all the wires that are behind the cluster. If i remember correctly there should be 1 yellow, 2 blue, and 2 green ones. --->https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1186091
In my car, when i looked at the back of my cluster there were only 3 connections, the blue and yellow ones. Id like to know what each one is for and why my car doesnt have the 2 green connectors on the wiring. Like i said, since im trying to put in one with a tach, i need to know whether those 2 green ones control it since my doesnt have a tach and is missing those connectors.

I had a 97 DX as well, I didn't really care much to research on how they work lol. I just got word that it was plug and play, I tried it myself. And it worked, no CEL/SRS/Maintenance, etc type of lights. It worked fine.

Yea, I believe the EX cluster had more plug holes. But the DX didn't have enough plugs for those holes, only what was necessary for the DX to run.

so you had no problems once you had changed the clusters? all gauges worked just fine? if so, thatd be great, im still trying to track down a couple i found haha

yellow plug is for SRS and one of the green plugs is for cruise control, at least thats how it worked on the older EGs, not sure about the EKs, the other plug i'm not sure about, but if were to guess i'd say you might have been looking at the back of an automatic cluster, they have another plug for the PRNDL.
