gas mileage and heater circuit malfunction
yea so i have a statement and a question.
first of all, just went to fill up my 97 lx sedan. 14.91 from below the red line. only in a honda.
and my question is i have a CEL on for both the primary and secondary o2 sensors both for heater circuit malfunction. now i have to let my car warm up for 5 minutes every single time i turn it on so the o2 sensors can warm up or i will get absolutely horrible gas mileage, as in i can watch the gas gauge go down like a 1/16th of a tank. the o2 sensors are brand new. could this be an ecu problem?
the codes are p0135 and p0141

Re: gas mileage and heater circuit malfunction
The primary but not secondary O2 sensor affects gas mileage. If the sensors are new and good brands, then check the heater circuit wires and terminals in the connectors. There is a possibility that the ECU is bad, but first check the wiring.

Re: gas mileage and heater circuit malfunction
i already fixed it. turns out it was the ECU with a stuck on heater code. it's all good now. i figure i should do a good tune up though. wires, plugs, upgrade to external coil dizzy, new fuel filter, that sort of stuff. cuz i'm still only getting like 27-30. i figure i can still get more
