gas leak 1998 civic hatch
Hi
Started noticing it recently. There's a slight gas leak under the front drivers side under the engine bay. I noticed the smell when I had the defog on and looked under the car and there was a small puddle of gas. I was reading about an injector o ring that may need to be replaced? Would this small o ring be the cause for such a leak? Or what else could be causing it except the lines...those appear to be fine. How can I check and is changing the o rings difficult? Is there a diy?
Thanks

honda civic fuel lines are notorious for rotted fuel lines, especially if your in an area that uses salt ( like my NYS )
also brake lines.. the whole coating them in plastic is a great idea only if they covered the areas that actually rot.. anywho...
trace it back, spray with parts cleaner prime fuel pump or let her run and look where it drips

Brake lines were already replaced... Fuel lines looked fine at the time...what am I looking at cost wise to replace/ repair this...can it be repaired as a temp fix?

yeah it's common to leak there. I would suggest cutting the portion of fuel hose out that's rotted cut to closest solid portion of line and install rubber hose with band clamps

Um. Remove all covers. Remove old line. Install new one? What are fuel line connectors? You should Google for a manual for your car. Failing that just get on a site like Majestic Honda's to see diagrams and get an idea of how these things come apart/go together.
