Fuse keeps blowing RR defrost

Fuse keeps blowing RR defrost
Hey Folks--I have a 96 base model civic and the RR derost 7.5 amp fuse keeps blowing. I unplugged the rear defrost connectors in the back and it still blows. The light on the switch is on when I turn it on--even though the fuse is blown. I start the car and it blows----and it is not even on.
Very strange problem. I even changed the 30 amp link for the RR defrost under the hood---though the old one was fine---no change.
Does anyone know where I can start to find this issue? The speedo doesn't work anymore either and happened the same day if that helps?
I am at a complete loss here and would appreciate any incite.
THank you for your time.

Re: Fuse keeps blowing RR defrost (96civicstock)
dont use a higher fuse then rated because the most unit cant handle that much amperage... umm you might want to check the relay for the defrost in the fuse box next to the battery.....
