Funny smell and winding noise
i have a 00 civic ex, (auto) and all of a sudden i start hearing a winding noise, and a funny smell coming from the car, the car runs fine, dosn't miss or anything just the smell and noise, car has 74000 miles and needs a timing belt soon, but i'm not sure what it could be anybody else having similar problems? or anybody know what the noise and smell could be?

Noise could be coming from in between your legs as well as the stench. Holding in your **** is never a great idea so just go when ya gotta...

very funny, no it seems like its somewhere in the timing belt cover, either its the water pump going or its the timing belt, anybody?

the car has been running fine, but the noise is still there, i went to the drive thru and i smelt something funny like pvc glue, and its coming from my car, its that same smell(what the f*ck could it be ), i know its sounds weird, but would the oxegyn sensor be going bad?

It may be anti-freeze you smell, with the engine cold pull the radiator cap off and take a whiff, same smell?
If it is then your water pump is going bad and needs replaced VERY soon, failing to replace it may lead to a pump failure, damage due to overheating and possibly wrecked valves if the pump locks and the timing belt breaks.
My pump locked after whining for 2 months, it never leaked coolant, by some miracle my timing belt didn't break or jump.

yea i got a 93 hb and i have a funny smell after driving it and while im driving. smells like cat ****.. also when i took off my silencer the silencer had water or some kind of moisture and smelles like ****... some dude said its the waterpump and some other people say its condense stuff
