i recently swapped a b18c1 into my ej1 and it drove fine for about 2-3 weeks! this past weekend i was gunning it on 2nd girl and it would bog. It felt like my exhaust was restricted. With that said i took a couple of minutes to look at my exhaust and there it was... fiber glass blocking the muffler. I had a quiet flow muffler and they have fiberglass inside them to reduce the noise i guess. pulled the muffler out and i have much more power now and it doesnt even sound that bad, it's a little bit too loud but vtec is INSANE!

FIX YOUR PROBLEMS a car with a cel isn't running right. like boosted said you are probably not even getting vtec because of your cel. fix your **** and come back if you still have problems.

Dam flaming me already. LOL. Will the situation is he dont have a comp and the car is not outside of my house. So when i go to help help fix it i have to drive a bit to get there. I just wanted suggestion before i go there and work on it again. Plus he dont know how to read the flashing light so that out of the picture if you want him to tell me what it is and for me to search.

print out a list of flashing cel codes, it is very easy to jump the cel. really trust me an idiot could do it. or even better yet take it to advanced, autozone what ever find out why theres a cel and fix that problem.

i am not flaming, i just know that a car with a CEL isn't really running right. it could be anything, with out knowing the code we could have you throwing parts at that car for weeks. check the cel and come back.
